Inputs
The inputs are solely dependant on how the gate was wired. There are 6 inputs, which
can be used, and each input can have 2 actions. The first step is to enter a name,
then select either Normally Open or Normally Closed. The bounce time is the amount
of time that must elapse before the action is carried out again. For example the gate is
stuck open, the bounce time would be set to 3 minutes, every 3 minutes that the MKII
recognises that the gate is stuck open it will perform the actions.
There are a number of actions that the MKII can perform namely:
1. SMS - when selecting the SMS action there are two parameters that need to be
set.
a. Cell number- This is the number that the MKII must send the SMS to.
b. Message - This is the message that must be sent, for example
"Gate - stuck open"
2. Group SMS -when selecting group SMS action there is only one parameter
that needs to be set, you have already set up the group.
a. Message - This is the message that must be sent, for example "Gate
stuck open"
3. Reboot - When you select reboot as an action, there is only one parameter that
needs to be set.
a. Time - the amount of time that elapses before the system reboots. NB!
If this is
set as the first action on an input you will not be able to set a second
action
4. Pulse Relay - when you select pulse relay as an action there are two
parameters that need to be set.
a. Relay - the relay that you want to pulse.
b. Seconds - the duration in seconds that the relay must pulse.
5. Make Call - when you select Make Call as an action, there are two parameters
that need to be set.
a. Number - the number that the MKII must call.
b. Cut off time in sec - the amount of time in seconds that the MKII allows
the call to continue before cutting off the call.
6. Server Connection - when you select server connection as an action there is
only one parameter that needs to be set.
a. Time - The time in seconds that must elapse before a connection must
be made. NB! If this is set as the first action on an input you will not be
able to set a second action.
7. Log -when you select log as an action there is only one parameter that needs to
be set.
a. Message - This is the message that will show on the report of the MKII.
This option is mainly used as a reporting method.
Once you have set up the intercom click on the save button bottom at right hand
corner of the window. You will return to the intercom step 3 context window, only now
the new intercom says that the intercom is configured.
Lastly the third button is now enabled Add PC Board. You do not need to do this yet, if
you wish to add the boards now click "Add PC Board" If not proceed to Step 4.
If you click "Add PC Board" a window will open with all the pc boards that you have
available to sell to your complex.
